Most 3D print pricing advice stops at filament. Filament is the cheapest part of a printed product and usually the smallest number on the page.
This costs the whole thing. Grams of filament with a waste allowance that doubles as your failure rate, because a failed print is filament and machine hours spent on nothing and that is exactly what a waste allowance is. Machine time at what an hour on that printer actually costs you, electricity plus its own depreciation. Post-processing materials, because supports removed and a part sanded and primed is a different object from what came off the bed. Packaging. And the postage you pay, which if you offer free shipping is the whole amount and is the commonest reason a listing quietly loses money.
The marketplace cut is handled properly, which almost nothing else does. A fee is a share of the SELLING price, not of your cost. Adding 10% to a $1,000 cost gives $1,100, the platform takes $110, and you are left with $990 — you have paid the fee out of your own margin. Solved correctly the price is $1,111.11, the platform takes $111.11, and you keep exactly your cost. This does it the second way.
It also argues with you. It says so when no overhead is being recovered at all, when a percentage entered as margin was probably meant as markup, and when the job leaves you earning less per hour than you would pay somebody else to do it.
Two printouts, deliberately separate: a customer quote with the price and the scope, and an internal costing with everything else. Handing a customer your margin by accident is a mistake you make once.
