An Etsy seller looks at a sale and thinks: sold for $40, the materials were $15, made $25. That number is wrong and it is usually wrong by about half.

Out of the $40 Etsy takes its listing, transaction, processing and often offsite ads fees. The postage comes out, and it is frequently more than what the buyer paid. The packaging is real money. And then there is the part nobody counts at all: the listings that did not sell.

This shows all of it. Enter a sale and the preview tells you the real profit as you type, next to the number you were expecting, and how far apart they are. That is the whole argument of the product happening in front of you rather than being claimed in a listing.

It also tracks the stock. What you have left, what is below your reorder point, what a listing is worth if it sells, and — the one almost nobody measures — how long each thing has been sitting. Money spent on stock that has not moved in six months is money you cannot spend on stock that would.

Sell-through is on the dashboard for the same reason. A seller with a healthy margin per item and 30% sell-through is not doing well, and per-sale figures will never reveal it.

Everything lives in your browser on your device. Nothing is uploaded, which is why it works offline and why nobody else can see your figures — and it also means clearing your browsing data deletes it. The tool does not pretend otherwise: the header shows how long since your last export at all times, turns amber after three days and red after seven, and export is one click that produces a plain file you keep.
