A thousand-dollar contract is not a thousand dollars. The platform takes its cut, the processor takes another, the conversion into your own currency takes a third that almost nobody counts, the withdrawal takes a flat fee, and then there is tax. On the default figures you keep $686 of $1,000.
This shows every cut in the order it is taken, and then does the thing that is actually worth money: it works backwards. Tell it what you want to be left with and it gives you the amount to quote — solved for the fees, not marked up by them.
That difference is the whole tool. Adding ten per cent and twenty per cent and the rest to what you want does not leave you with what you want, because a share of the price cannot be covered by adding it to the target. The page shows both numbers side by side and the shortfall between them, so it is a figure you can see rather than a claim you have to accept.
It also runs the same cuts across every size of job, which makes visible something most freelancers only feel: the flat withdrawal fee means you keep a worse share of a small job than a large one. Everything else scales. That one does not.
Save as many versions as you like and put any two side by side, figure against figure, with the better one on each line marked and the difference in its own column. That screen is the one that decides things, and it is the part a free calculator cannot do at all.
Nothing here is hardcoded from an article. Platform fees change, differ by plan and country, and are sometimes split with the client — every percentage is one you enter, and the hints tell you to take them from your own last payout statement rather than from anybody’s blog, including mine.
One HTML file. No account, no subscription, no internet needed. Opens on Windows, Mac and Android; the readme explains the extra step on iPhone and iPad, where Apple blocks JavaScript in downloaded files and every tool of this kind is affected.
Everything lives in your browser on your device. Nothing is uploaded, which is why it works offline and why nobody else can see your figures — and it also means clearing your browsing data deletes it. The tool does not pretend otherwise: the header shows how long since your last export at all times, turns amber after three days and red after seven, and export is one click that produces a plain file you keep.
