Structured Interview Scorecard

Two interviewers who disagree with each other by more than the gap between two candidates have run a process that cannot tell those candidates apart. Ranking them anyway is reading the panel’s own disagreement as a result.

That comparison is the whole point of this tool, and it is the one thing a scoring sheet on paper can never do. On the figures it ships with, two candidates are 3.9 points apart and the interviewers disagreed with each other by an average of 20 points of the same scale. The page says, in those words, that the panel has not separated them — and then points at the criterion where they were three points apart, because a criterion a panel cannot agree on is a criterion nobody defined.

The rest is the scoring: your criteria, your weights, one to five from each interviewer, and a weighted result. A blank is left out rather than counted as a one, because an interviewer who skipped a criterion has not marked the candidate down for it — and a tool that averaged the blank in as zero would defame a candidate by arithmetic.

There is no kappa here and no ICC. Both need assumptions this page cannot check, and both would be quoted as though they had been measured. What it reports instead is plain: how often the interviewers landed on the same number, how often within one, and how far apart at the widest. That is honest, and it is enough to answer the only question that matters.

Save as many versions as you like and put any two side by side, figure against figure, with the better one on each line marked and the difference in its own column. That screen is the one that decides things, and it is the part a free calculator cannot do at all.
