A store with traffic and no orders usually has three or four specific problems, not a vague one. This is the walk-through that finds them, in the order a buyer meets them: the product page, the checkout, whether the shop looks like it belongs to real people, whether it can be found at all, and what happens after somebody pays.

Twenty-eight checks, each weighted, and then the failures put in order by what they are worth against what they cost to fix. That ordering is the difference between an audit and a to-do list nobody starts.

Some of the checks are unfashionable on purpose. Five of them are about NOT pressuring people: nothing counting down, nothing added to the basket that was not chosen, subscriptions that say what they cost and how to stop. That is a position rather than an oversight, and if you want a tool that helps you install a fake countdown this is not it.

It is careful in the same way the SEO audit is. A blank check is left out of the score rather than counted as a failure, and until most of them are answered it shows no score at all — because a score from a third of the questions is a number that gets repeated.

Nothing here is Shopify-specific despite what the buyers usually search for. Every check is about what the shopper sees, so it works on WooCommerce, Squarespace, Wix or a store somebody hand-built.

Save as many versions as you like and put any two side by side, figure against figure, with the better one on each line marked and the difference in its own column. That screen is the one that decides things, and it is the part a free calculator cannot do at all.
