Test Item Analysis Workbook

Type the answer key and your students’ answers; the workbook shows which questions worked, which options fooled whom, and how reliable the test was.

For every question it gives difficulty, discrimination (top 27% against bottom 27%), the corrected point-biserial, KR-20 if the question were dropped and a verdict. For every option it counts who chose it and flags unused options and suspect keys.

Inside: an Excel workbook that also opens in Google Sheets (up to 60 questions and 200 students), an offline HTML version for a computer browser with print and CSV, and a plain-English guide with a worked example.

Built by Muhammad Shahzeb Anwar, MSc Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Formulas checked against published worked examples on 2 November 2026.

It describes one group of students on one occasion and supports, rather than replaces, a teacher’s judgement.
