On the figures this ships with, the team is at exactly 100%. Somebody in it is at 140%.
Both numbers are true, and every planning tool on the market leads with the first one. That is the whole problem: a team average is precisely where an overloaded person becomes invisible, and somebody else having spare hours does not help them unless the work actually moves — which it does not do by itself.
So the most loaded person is the first figure on this page, by name, and the team average sits beside it labelled as not being the finding.
Available hours are not contracted hours. The page takes out the time that goes on meetings, email, admin and one-to-ones before it counts anything, because that box is the one people leave at zero, and leaving it at zero is what makes an impossible plan look reasonable on a screen.
It will not tell you that 100% allocated is good news. A plan with no slack does not survive one illness, one thing taking longer than it should, or one urgent request — and the slack figure is shown in days across the team so the size of what you have is obvious rather than theoretical.
What it cannot do is judge your estimates. If the committed hours are optimistic then an overloaded person looks fine here exactly as they do everywhere else, and the page says so rather than implying the numbers make the plan true.
Save as many versions as you like and put any two side by side, figure against figure, with the better one on each line marked and the difference in its own column. That screen is the one that decides things, and it is the part a free calculator cannot do at all. The plan as agreed against the plan six weeks later is the comparison worth having.
One HTML file. No account, no subscription, no internet needed. Opens on Windows, Mac and Android; the readme explains the extra step on iPhone and iPad, where Apple blocks JavaScript in downloaded files and every tool of this kind is affected.
Everything lives in your browser on your device. Nothing is uploaded, which is why it works offline and why nobody else can see your figures — and it also means clearing your browsing data deletes it. The tool does not pretend otherwise: the header shows how long since your last export at all times, turns amber after three days and red after seven, and export is one click that produces a plain file you keep.
