How I can help

01

Work stress and pressure

Work out what is actually driving the pressure, from workload and unclear roles to a lack of control, and build strategies you can use the same week.

02

Burnout prevention

Spot the early warning signs, exhaustion, cynicism and falling effectiveness, and change the work patterns behind them before they become a health problem.

03

Work-life boundaries

Set limits on availability, hours and workload that you can actually keep, and plan how to raise them with your manager.

04

Workplace relationships

Conflict with a manager or colleague, difficult conversations and feedback, prepared for and talked through.

05

Decisions and transitions

Job offers, career changes, relocation or returning to work: structured thinking for the decisions that keep you up at night.

06

Confidence at work

Self-doubt in interviews, presentations or a new role, worked through with practical exercises between sessions.

My approach

My approach

Sessions are structured and collaborative. They draw on evidence-based coaching methods used in occupational psychology, and each one ends with something concrete to try before the next.

Is this therapy?

No, and the distinction matters. This is organisational and career psychology: work, decisions, performance, and how people function in organisations. If what you need is clinical treatment, the right step is a licensed clinical psychologist or psychiatrist, and I will say so rather than take the session.

In a crisis? Do not wait for a session: call your local emergency number (1122 or Edhi 115 in Pakistan, 999 in the UK, 911 in the US).

  1. Cognitive-behavioural coachingNoticing unhelpful thinking about work and testing it in practice.
  2. Solution-focused coachingGoals first, building on what already works for you.
  3. Job demands and resourcesMapping what drains you at work against what sustains you, a model from occupational psychology.
  4. Motivational interviewingGetting clear on what you want to change, and why, without pressure.

FAQs

Common questions

What this is, confidentiality, online sessions and fit.

Is this therapy?

No, and the distinction matters. This is organisational and career psychology: work, decisions, performance, and how people function in organisations. If what you need is clinical treatment, the right step is a licensed clinical psychologist or psychiatrist, and I will say so rather than take the session.

What is I/O psychology?

Industrial and Organizational psychology is the study of people at work: selection, motivation, performance, wellbeing, and how organisations shape behaviour. It is an evidence-based field with a substantial research literature behind it.

Is what I say confidential?

Yes. Nothing discussed appears in any published work. The forty-seven audits on this site are all of public brands, from public material, with no individual involved.

Do you do sessions online?

Yes, and most are. In Karachi, in person is possible where it genuinely helps.

How many sessions will I need?

For a specific decision, often one or two. Anything ongoing is agreed as it goes rather than sold as a package up front.

Do online sessions work as well as in-person ones?

For this kind of work, yes for most people. Video sessions remove the travel, and many people find it easier to talk from their own space. Sessions are by secure video or audio call.

What if I am in crisis?

Please do not wait for a session. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, contact your local emergency number now (1122 or Edhi 115 in Pakistan, 999 in the UK, 911 in the US) or go to the nearest hospital emergency department. These sessions are not a crisis or clinical service.

How do sessions work?

Sessions are 50 minutes via secure video call (Zoom or similar). You'll receive a link before your session. We'll talk about what's on your mind, and I'll provide tools and perspectives to support you. It's a collaborative process.

What if we're not a good fit?

The working relationship matters. If after the first session you feel we are not the right match, that is completely fine, and I can suggest other professionals, including licensed clinicians where that is what you need.

Everything on this site can be checked before you pay for anything. A free tool runs fourteen measurable checks on any public page in about thirty seconds, and 47 full brand psychology audits are published here in full, no email required.
